This is truly on a case-by-case basis. Some folx might feel great with just therapy and not want to take medication. Absolutely- we actually prefer it this way. Once you send us a message or contact us by phone, we will set up a brief 15-minute phone call with your counselor to make sure we could potentially be a good fit. From there, we schedule an initial assessment, at the end of which we create a plan for counseling.

It’s as big of a commitment as you would like it to be. In terms of time commitment and number of sessions, it is based on your specific wants and needs. While some people choose to come weekly, others choose to come once a month. The commitment to therapy truly is different per person, though we will give our recommendations as to what frequency we believe will most likely help you reach your goals. Some people come for years, while others come for just a few sessions. We find that while the commitment pertaining to therapy sessions varies, the more important commitment is the one you make to your mental wellness between sessions.
